Christmas Chocolada 2015

Every year in December, we organize a little “chocolada” for the children of Iquitos. A chocolada is like an ice cream social, with chocolates and paneton, where everyone can gather and celebrate. We hand out gifts provided from the support of donors and Delfin Amazon Crusies. Here are a few pictures from this year´s event.

Flood relief thank you

In March and April, many places in Loreto were declared under a state of emergency. The river rose to an unprecedented level, destroying the crops of hundreds of families. They were left without food and couldnt access basic necessities. Houses, schools and hospitals were all completely flooded.

We sent truckloads of food, water, and medical supplies to assit all those in need. This was made possible by the generous donations from Kuyapa´s supporters. A big thanks!

This week we received these thank you notes from the people of San Miguel.

October Dental Clinic

Dr. Anatoily is back at again.. he will be joining us this October to do another dental campaign. We plan to visit even more communities and do some follow ups on our past patients. Delfin Amazon Cruises is very happy to announce.

Dental Clinic in Pacaya Samiria

A Special thanks to Dr. Anatoily Ravin Odontologic Surgeon and Dentist of Hospital Dental Group in Hartford, Conneticut for recently offering a Dental Clinic to the local ribereño communities of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. We thank him for his generous effort to help bring education and much needed treatment.

Upcoming Dental Campaign

We are happy to announce that Dr. Anatoily Ravin Odontologic Surgeon and Dentist of Hospital Dental Group in Hartford, Conneticut will be offering a Dental Clinic this Upcoming March 2015 to the local ribereño communities of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. We thank him for his generous effort to help bring Education and much needed treatment. Administrator of the Kuyapa Foundation Vanessa Pacheco met with the Dr. on his latest trip to Peru to nail down the final details of their upcoming project. We are looking for donations to help cover minimal costs.

Kuyapa would like to thank all the contributors to the Annual Toy Drive and Christmas Campaign for 2014. This year children enjoyed a “Chocolatada with Santa” at several locations throughout Iquitos and Nauta including deep within the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve with one of our favorite benefactors Delfin Amazon Cruises. Their passengers enjoyed community visits while delivering a little christmas cheer and much anticipated party to the local villages.
